Some Things

A number of things coming in the next several months: Marick Press will reissue my first book, The Paris Stories; Counterpath Press will publish my translation of Oliver Rohe’s short novel, Vacant Lot; and Coffee House will be releasing my novels (The Impossibly, Indiana, Indiana, The Exquisite and Ray of the Star) electronically.  Also, in 2011, Coffee House will release a 10th anniversary paperback edition of The Impossibly.  More on all of this and other things as the months unfurl.

An interview I did with Matt Bell at The Collagist in which I say, among other things, “I’m not sure just before and just after a book comes out is the best time for me to be trying to deal seriously with the problems of other projects, but I seem to be under the sway of what Blanchot calls the “tyrannical prehension” – I can’t stop my fingers from moving toward the keyboard. Maybe someone ought to take said keyboard away from me.”
